Concept Art Ghostfence Replacer By starwarsgal9875 Version: 1.2 Requires: Morrowind _________ Contents _________ 1 - Description 2 - Updating 3 - Install 4 - Uninstall 5 - Incompatibility 6 - Known Issues or Bugs 7 - Changelog 8 - Contact 9 - Credits 10 - Permissions ____________ Description ____________ This mod replaces the Ghostfence "pylons" with large stone swords based on Morrowind's concept art. They are glowmapped and normalmapped, though the normalmaps probably won't be very noticable unless you're using OpenMw. __________________ Updating from 1.0 __________________ Simply replace all existing files with the new ones. ________ Install ________ Drag and drop the "meshes" and "textures" folders into your "Morrowind/Data Files/" folder. __________ Uninstall __________ Navigate to "Morrowind/Data Files" then "meshes/x/", and delete "ex_gg_pylon_01" and "ex_gg_pylon_02". Navigate to "Morrowind/Data Files/textures/", and delete "tx_gg_blankrefl.dds", "tx_gg_hilt.dds", "tx_gg_hilt_g.dds", "tx_gg_hilt_n.dds", "tx_gg_sword.dds", "tx_gg_sword_g.dds", and "tx_gg_sword_n.dds". ________________ Incompatibility ________________ Due to the nature of Neccecities of Morrowind, NoM will require a compatibility patch, with an included mesh of the original ghostfence pylon, or else you may have large swords in some unfitting places. I don't play NoM, so I will not be making such a patch myself. _____________________ Known Issues or Bugs _____________________ When generating distant land, the UV map on the swords may become distorted, though this is often hard to notice due to the distance the meshes are viewed from. __________ Changelog __________ 1.0 Initial meshes and textures 1.1 Updated to include normal maps 1.2 Compressed normal maps and set filter mode to FILTER_TRILERP to remove pixelation. ________ Contact ________ I can be contacted by private message on the Bethesda Forums: http://forums.bethsoft.com/user/474532-starwarsgal9875/ Otherwise, the email form there should work if my inbox is full. I will not give out my email here in an effort to avoid potential spammers. ________ Credits ________ - Thanks to Micheal Kirkbride for coming up with such a cool concept, and Bethesda for publishing it in the Morrowind Art Book. - Thanks to Brucoms for developing the readme generator this readme was based on. ____________ Permissions ____________ Modify my mod, but credit me as the original creator. I would greatly appreciate if you contacted me before or after making any changes to this. If you want to improve upon my work, I might even release it as an update. :)
