***DESCRIPTION*** The locations of all Wraithguard, Keening, and Sunder are randomly selected across 10 potential locations within Ghostfence. In the case of Wraithguard, this makes it possible to obtain Wraithguard without having to go through the main quest since it is normally given to you by Vivec. This means that this mod should not be considered lore-friendly, although I've found that playing with this mod in conjunction with a mod that randomizes the player's starting location (such as the excellent QuickChar mod) allows for a "Morrowind Randomizer" playstyle that can be very fun. Note that if you do want to play a version of this mod that is closer to being lore-friendly, I did also include a simplified version of the mod that only randomizes the locations of Keening and Sunder. This simplified version of the mod can be found alongside the original version in the files section of the mod page. The 10 potential locations within Ghostfence where the 3 Tools can spawn are as follows: - Assalkushalit - Bthanchend - Dagoth Ur: Lower Facility - Endusal: Kagrenac's Study - Kogoruhn: Charma's Breath - Odrosal: Dwemer Training Academy - Salvel Ancestral Tomb - Tureynulal: Kagrenac's Library - Ularradallaku - Vemynal: Hall of Torque Within each of these potential locations, one of Kagrenac's Tools can be spawned either in a locked chest, an unlocked container, or held by a powerful creature or NPC. In the case of locked chests, each location does include a key to unlock the chest somewhere within the same location, so the player will never be forced to unlock it themselves with lockpicks or magic. Only one of Kagrenac's Tools can spawn in any of these locations at any given time, meaning you'll never end up in a situation where 2 or more of Kagrenac's Tools can be found in a single location. The locations of all three of Kagrenac's Tools are decided when the game first starts, meaning whenever a new game is started or if a pre-existing save file that was created before installing this mod is loaded. Once the locations for all 3 of Kagrenac's Tools have been set, the script won't execute further. Note that the script will not run if any of the potential NPC/creature targets within the 10 Ghostfence locations have already been killed. If at any point you are having trouble finding where each of Kagrenac's Tools have been placed, the player's inventory will now include 3 individual pages that each give a hint as to where each of Kagrenac's Tools are located. Each note will tell you where the item is located, a general description of the location, and what kind of container or creature holds it. ***INSTALLATION*** 1. Download the mod 2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to somewhere on your computer (example: your Desktop) 3. Copy the RandomizeKagrenacsTools.esp file to the Data Files folder within your Morrowind installation directory 4. Run Morrowind, but instead of clicking "Play", select "Data Files" 5. Under the "Morrowind Files" table, double-click the entry for "RandomizeKagrenacsTools.ESP" so that it is now checked 6. Press OK, and start the game 7. Either create a new game or load an existing save. Check your inventory to see if you have 3 separate pages for "Sunder Location Hint", "Keening Location Hint", and "Wraithguard Location Hint" present. If you have all three, then you're good to go! 8. If you're missing any of the aforementioned 3 pages, then go back and double-check that RandomizeKagrenacsTools.ESP was selected as specified in Step 5. If you tried this by loading a pre-existing save, double-check to make sure that the save you loaded couldn't have had any of the key NPCs or creatures in any of the 10 potential Ghostfence locations already dead since the script for this mod won't run if any of them are already dead. Usually creating a new game is the best way to do a clean test ***UNINSTALLATION*** 1. Run Morrowind, but instead of clicking "Play", select "Data Files" 2. Under the "Morrowind Files" table, double-click the entry for "RandomizeKagrenacsTools.ESP" so that it is now unchecked 3. Press OK, and you should be good! 4. If you want to be extra sure, you can also just delete the RandomizeKagrenacsTools.esp file out of the Data Files folder within your Morrowind installation directory ***CONTACT*** If you have any issues or if you have any suggestions/comments, I can be easily reached through email, Discord, Twitter, etc. All relevant links can be found via my Linktree page found below: https://linktr.ee/superhobbit And if I may, I'd like to specifically plug my Twitch channel where I stream Morrowind Randomizer attempts on weekends. These Morrowind Randomizer streams feature several mods (including this one) that I use to make the "randomized" playthrough experience, along with goofy things like randomized goals, randomized starting stats, etc. I can be found at twitch.tv/SuperHobbit If you like this mod, I'd also encourage you to check out my two other Morrowind mods: Vampire Char Gen and Lootable Spellbooks
