***************************************************************** The Elder Scrolls III MORROWIND: Better Scamps ***************************************************************** Index: 1. DESCRIPTION ***************************************************************** TITLE: Better Scamps VERSION: 1.0b MOD TYPE: Mesh/Texture Replacement BY: tronvillain CONTACT: tronvillain@gmail.com After downloading "Wildman's Unique Creeper" and taking a look at the edited mesh in Nifscope, I noticed how bad the UV maps for the scamp were. I attempted to modify them with Nifscope, but that is nearly impossible, but now that I have learned a little about Blender I have succeeded in "fixing" the scamp. Included are vanilla-esque versions of EJ-12's scamp textures (I have asked permission to use them, but haven't heard back yet) that I think go extremely well with the modified mesh, but pretty much any textures should work. Eventually I plan on creating unique versions for the Creeper, the summoned scamp, and the dead scamp, as well as smoothed versions of each, but that may never happen. ***************************************************************** 2. INSTALLATION ***************************************************************** To install, simply copy the "Data Files" folder into the Morrowind directory. If you don't want to use the textures, just copy the "Meshes" folder into the "Data Files" folder instead. ***************************************************************** 3. VERSION HISTORY ***************************************************************** v1.0 -fixed/altered scamp UV maps. -vanilla-esque EJ-12 textures. -minor mesh edits. v1.0b -fixed texture path and bounding box. See the "Change Log" section below for a complete list of alterations. ***************************************************************** 4. CONFLICTS ***************************************************************** The pluginless portion of this mod this should not significantly conflict with anything except other replacers, or plugins that refer any of the scamps to different meshes. ***************************************************************** 5. THANKS ***************************************************************** Wildman: for "Wildman's Unique Creeper", which inspired me. Muspila: for explaining how to actually get the scamp to export from Blender. EJ-12/Hedgehog-12: for the great scamp textures. Fliggerty: for this style of readme, and all his mods, especially his keyring. Bethesda: for creating a game I love and want to contibute to. And to everyone who has worked on Nifscope, Blender, and Paint.NET for giving us such wonderful tools. ***************************************************************** 6. COPYRIGHT ***************************************************************** Feel free to distribute or modify the mesh as you like in Morrowind mods, remembering it is derived from Bethesda's mesh (that said, a little credit would be appreciated). The textures, on the other hand, are based on EJ-12's textures and you will have to ask for permission yourself. Enjoy! -tronvillain ***************************************************************** 7.
