Seyda Neen: Lived Towns, Slums, Docks cosmetic patch + 100% compatible plugin WIP list --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brief description: This mod makes compatible Lived Towns - Seyda Neen, Vvardenfell Expanded - Seyda Neen Slums and Seyda Neen Harbor mods. Moreover, it allows better compatibility with optional mods listed in the detailed description section. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation: 1)Delete the original [Lived Towns - Seyda Neen_Patch.esp] and [Seyda Neen Docks.esp], either keep or delete [Seyda Neen Slums.esp]. 2)Copy-Paste files into your Morrowind/Data Files folder. Either keep the original [Seyda Neen Slums.esp] or replace it with my edited version. Don't use both at the same time! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q:Why was this "mod" needed? A:I love Daggerfall. I love large cities/towns in games. The mods listed here make Seyda Neen huge in comparison to its default state. However, some of these mods don't work well enough together to my taste. So I've decided to fix some minor visual problems, WITHOUT editing any scripting/dialog/etc. of the original mods. I'm trying to keep these mods "patched" yet as faithful to the original vision of each author, as possible. So, my goal isn't to change anything, unless it's required to make everything work together. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT: This is the first time I edit landscape/scenery, etc. in TES construction set, so it's very likely I could've missed some elements that require fixing. I count on your feedback to polish this patch. I focus mostly on exteriors. I use OpenMW for testing. Please, let me know, if it works differently in normal Morrowind. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Load Order: 1)[Lived Towns - Seyda Neen_Patch.esp] (replacing the original mod) 2)Edited version of [Seyda Neen Docks_Patch.esp] (can be disabled/replaced if TR or abot's boats ever interfere with it in future updates!) 3)Either the original version or my edited version of [Seyda Neen Slums.esp]. I've tried to change as few elements as possible in this mod. One won't even notice some subtle changes. So, the original is mostly compatible. 4)All the other optional mods listed below. Logic: Lived Towns serves as the base mod for the "patch". It's very lightweight and thus fast to modify. It will eventually include all the other compatibility elements, if some optional mods below interfere with the central part of Seyda Neen. The Slums does its own thing, and I like it as is. The Harbor/Docks mod is the least stable one, despite its simplicity. While I do acknowledge the need to add extra docking space, any future change in either Tamriel Rebuilt or scenic travel mods may ruin the area, if the docks are too large/sophisticated. Therefore, I've ported just the most basic elements from this mod. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________Default compatibility with global/gameplay altering mods (or mods that affect other places)___________ Strongly recommended to make you feel the increased population cap: - Tamriel Rebuilt compatible: some changes to the 3 modes above were made with abot's scenic travel + Tamriel Rebuilt in mind. That's the main reason why I modified the docks and stones/sunken ruins a lot. A ship should be able to exit the bay. - Abot's silt striders and waterlife compatible Note: sometimes a silt strider walks across the slums area. Looks fine. Consider it realism/hardship. -Guar taxi & imperial cart (install both, seriously. Just don't install "no fast travel" mod with it). -friends and foes (fits in,t he spawn places are compatible from what I've witnessed) -guard diversity (why? - because, imao, orc guards make sense with Slums mod). Also, adds a bit to diversity, while most guards are still imperial. + A couple of extra NPCs listed below make them the absolute majority. -Animated Morrowind OpenMW Patch (and the original required file liste on its page) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ______Recommended 100% compatible optional mods______________ -Nationalist Nerevarine (it's a special case, it changes the main quest a lot, so I've listed it here). -Tutorial guard (adds an extra imperial guard inside the office). -TelShadow's NPCs in Seyda Neen (my patch allows better compatibility with the trader outside). -TelShadow's "The Secret Trading Hub" (recommended without the statue). Lore-wise it makes sense. Also, it shows that the dunmer population memebrs are onto something, while all the n'wahs roam outside. -Drunk Fargoth (download my fixed version from the optional files) + Fargoth in distress. They work together. -To save a falling Wizard (any version). Once saved, Tarhiel will inhabit Seyda Neen. -Silt Strider newspapers - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Credits: original authors of the 3 mods: IanBitters - Seyda Neen Docks Virnetch - Lived Towns - Seyda Neen Yommumoi - Vvardenfell Expanded - Seyda Neen Slums TheMWDoogster for Drunk Fargoth, which I modified to work with the rest of the mods without breaking immersion. And, of course, all these wondrous people who made the optional mods. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have fun playing this patch. Again, this is my first experience with the construction set. Don't expect much out of it.
