Smarter Bandits 1.1 Oblivion Plugin by David Brasher With the Oblivion Crisis and everything else going on in Cyrodiil, the Imperial Legion just can't keep the roads safe anymore. In spite of this, many bandits have recently perished attempting to rob a lone traveler who turned out to be someone like The Hero of Kvatch, Sheogorath, or The Divine Crusader. The object is to kill the traveler and take his stuff, not get killed yourself. Some of the bandits have realized that it is much safer to rob travelers when they act as a group instead of as a lone wolf or a duo. Now these larger bands of robbers have set up for ambushes on all the major roads between cities. If there is no really important reason for you to be traveling, you ought to stay home. (Of course, if you do that, an Oblivion gate is likely to open near your house and you are doomed anyway, but that is another story.) Instructions: Unzip the file. Install the esp. file to your Oblivion/Data folder. There are no meshes or textures to install. Put an "X" mark beside "Smarter Bandits" on your mod manager. Play and enjoy. Version 1.1: Fixed problem where bandits were attacking Cheydinhal. That is not a smart thing for bandits to do. Too many guards. Known issues: No known issues. This should be compatible with almost anything. If you make a mod with a cottage in the wilderness, and it happens to be where the bandits are operating at, you will have bandits trespassing in your yard, which is a very bad thing. If you are having problems with the function of this mod, send a Personal Message to David Brasher on TES Nexus. The bandits are leveled, but it may be easier for higher-level characters to deal with them because of all the weapons, armor, spells, and potions, they have acquired. If this mod is too hard for your new character, you may want to disable it for awhile and then turn it on when you are well-equipped. The bandits appear somewhat randomly. Groups may be larger or smaller and made up of different kinds of characters at different times. Permissions: You are free to modify and use this plug-in any way you would like. I would love to encounter smarter bandits in the mods I download and play.
