So since I'm pretty handy at sound editing ;) , I decided to do something about it. This little mod contains four real recordings of thunders from The Freesound Project which I cut, cleaned and converted for use in Morrowind. The game contains eight different sounds for thunders, but only seems to use four of them, so this mod only replaces those four. If at some time I find out that the game actually uses more, update this mod I shall. See the following Youtube video for comparison with the original sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXNfbE4lVUY&hd=1 Requirements: None. Works on a completely unpatched vanilla Morrowind installation as well as a fully patched Game Of The Year installation. Installation: Simply extract the .zip to your Morrowind directory, overwriting the original sounds. (default: "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind") If your unzipper doesn't ask you whether you wan't to overwrite or not, something probably went wrong. In case of unzipper suckage, I reccommend 7-Zip for all your troubles. Get it from 7-zip.org. As this mod simply overwrites existing sounds, it can't f*ck anything up. But if you're extremely paranoid or indecisive, you should probably backup the original sounds before extracting this mod, as it's practically impossible to get them from the Morrowind CD without re-installing the game.
