INFORMATION ON THE MOD ************************************************************************ This mod marks the quest-related dungeons by planting a big purple flower by the front door. This can prevent you from accidentally exploring a quest-related dungeon while you are not doing the quest and thereby breaking the quest. The purple flower is a retexturing of Domica Redwart. It is large and tall and highly visible if you pause a moment to look for it before entering a dungeon. It is not always right by the door, but always fairly close. Ayleid ruins may have more than one flower at various entrances to the stony ruined exterior area. Flowers can't grow in stone, so the flowers are in soil by paths you would have to take to reach the door. For caves that have more than one entrance, there is a flower at each door. Using this mod could prevent you the grief of discovering that due to your promiscuous dungeon-crawling early in the game, one of your quests is broken and cannot be completed. ************************************************************************ 2. Installation ************************************************************************ Extract (decompress) the .esp, meshes, and textures to your oblivion directory, the default is: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ Mark the box next to the "Quest-Related Dungeons Marked" plugin in your mod manager. Alternately, extract someplace else. Then move the .esp, meshes and textures to Oblivion\Data\. Activate the mod in your mod manager. ************************************************************************ 3. Version History ************************************************************************ V 1.0 9/21/11 Initial Release. ************************************************************************ 4. Conflicts, Known Issues, and Troubleshooting ************************************************************************ You might have to look carefully to find the purple flower marking a dungeon as one you shouldn't explore yet. Sometimes it is a little distance away from the door. But the flower is always big and purple and in plain sight if you pause a moment and look. Some of the flowers are at the entrance to the ruin area rather than the door, especially at Ayleid ruins. Flowers can't grow in stone, and some of the ruins are nothing but stone by the door. Some dungeons are already inaccessible due to locked doors or physical barriers and the flower is superfluous. Some dungeons are actually perfectly safe to explore before doing the quest. But it would take a lot of research to figure out which are which. This mod does not cover the Shivering Isles or Knights of the Nine. Knights of the Nine is not much of an issue because there are not a lot of dungeons in it and some of them are already inaccessible. They are rather memorable too, and once you play that DLC once, you will know what dungeons it adds and that they are all quest dungeons. This mod may seem fake and silly and aesthetically displeasing. It might seem immersion-breaking, but I can imagine worse ways to mark dungeons that would really be bad. IF ANYONE DETECTS A MAJOR BUG WHICH MAKES THE MOD UNPLAYABLE, PLEASE SEND DAVID BRASHER A PERSONAL MESSAGE ON TES NEXUS RIGHT AWAY. HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE ABLE FIX THE PROBLEM AND RELEASE AN IMPROVED VERSION OF THIS MOD. ************************************************************************ 5.
