* * * * * Mod Name: Velveteen Armour As Clothing Series: Armoury Module Number: 6 Author: Myrystyr Original Author: Korana Date: 13/08/2017 Categories: Clothing, Armour Requirements: HGEC DESCRIPTION Hello, and welcome to the latest entry in a series of mods cleaning up Cyrodiil. Discovering (and looting) the bodies of deceased adventurers is an old fantasy staple, and you never know what you might find at an old Ayleid ruin. However, not every adventurer is going to wander all the way out to Morahame (most of my characters seem to prefer Vilverin, Ceyatatar, and Sercen). Also, maybe it's all the years I spent running D&D campaigns, but respawning containers that don't have any rationale for being periodically restocked kind of breaks immersion for me. Consequently, Velveteen Armour is now available for purchase, in the Imperial City Market District, as well as clothing versions. For images and further information, please see the original mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/25375/ As always, if you are already satisfied with the original mod this one is based on you don't have to download this mod. CONTENTS This mod contains all of the meshes and textures from the original mod, as well as the following esps: 1 - VelveteenHGECResource: New (aa) IDs are made for each item. No other change is made, and no cell or worldspace is affected. This is provided as a modders resource, to use as you see fit. 2 - VelveteenHGECClothing: Clothing versions of each item are made, with a value of 100. The health of the Light Black Velveteen Armour is corrected to 1,000, matching that of the other armours. Two respawning vendor chests are made, one for clothing and one for armour, to which the items are added. This is also a modders resource. 3 - VelveteenHGECMarket: The clothing chest is added to Divine Elegance, and the armour chest is added to the Mystic Emporium, in the Imperial City Market District. This is playable immediately. The original ReadMe file is included for reference purposes. Tools used: Construction Set, File Explorer, Notepad. INSTALLATION 1 - Extract to a temporary location 2 - Copy the meshes and textures to your Oblivion\Data folder 3 - Copy the esp of your choice to use as desired 4 - Tick the esp in Oblivion Launcher to use in game UNINSTALL 1 - Untick whichever esp you are using 2 - Delete the esp, and the following files and folders: Meshes\armor\NK\Velv\ Textures\armor\nk\velv\ Textures\Menus\Icons\armor\NK\Velv\ CREDIT Special thanks to the original creator Korana. Please inform me as soon as possible of any problems you may encounter while using this mod. Feedback and constructive criticism are welcome, as are suggestions for future mods. CONFLICTS/ISSUES This mod was used alongside around 50 other mods. The vendor chests are pushed far enough down and away that they are unlikely to overlap with similar chests placed by other mods you might be using. Known Issues - from the original ReadMe: You might get minor clipping in some poses, and major clipping with more extreme pose mods. The GND model is just the curiass, which might or might not bug you as the other armor peices don't show. Some clipping might occur with quivers and sheathed weapons, depending on what you wear and equip. Skimpiness Factor: While these outfits do cover most of the body, the design is notably skimpy. Playtest Report: My replacement playtest guinea pig character went into Divine Elegance and bought a Black Velveteen outfit and a Light White Velveteen outfit. There was initially an inventory crash, when changing between items, which I attribute to either or both of two other mods we were playtesting at the same time. No further crashes occured when the other mods were unticked and/or items from them were not in the character's inventory. Thus, any issues you may encounter might not be due to this mod. Then, not having an ounce of mystical strength in her being, my replacement playtest guinea pig character wandered all over the Market Place looking for the armour versions and never went into the Mystic Emporium. Now you know why my ReadMes are as long as they are . . . My laptop doesn't like screenshots, so feel free to take pics of your characters using this mod. Upload them to this mod's webpage, and I'll verify the images as soon as possible. IN CLOSING This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. Similarly, while OBSE was installed it was not used during play. Nor was any other utility installed or used. My replacement playtest guinea pig character is based in the Imperial City Market District, where several versions of my mods happen to add items to vendors. How convenient. This mod was originally going to be a Clothing Building Block, until a numbering error crept into that series. Consequently, it is now an Armoury Module. Future clothing mods will form part of a new series. These mods are my way of sharing some of the fun I have playing Oblivion. Thank you for reading, and enjoy your gaming. * * * * *
