Name: Properly Equipped Vampire Hunters Version: 1.0 Date: October 2017 Author: Guinefort1 Description =========== Adds Warhammer Fantasy-style vampire hunter armor for NPC and player use Details ======= Gives the vampire hunters from the "Information at a Price" quest suitable vampire hunter armor and silver weaponry. Their new armor also gives them the equivalent of elven-level protection, to make them more robust. They don't look like real vampire hunters without them. A player-usable set vampire hunter armor, with heavy and light variants, is available in the HQ for the Order of the Virtuous Blood, and may be obtained for free from a chest in the basement once you have completed the Order of the Virtuous Blood quest and joined the faction (or you can just steal it). The player armors comes in three tiers: lowest between iron/steel (heavy) or fur/leather (light), middle between dwarven/orcish (heavy) or chainmail/mithril (light), and top between ebony/daedric (heavy) or elven/glass (light). Requirements ============ Oblivion Version 1.2.0416 Installation Instructions ========================= Copy contents into your Oblivion data folder Uninstallation Instructions =========================== Delete the esp an the added meshes and textures Optional Files ============== The various retextures for the armor are downloadable separately. Install one after the main file. Use the Hair-slotted Hat version if you want the playable hat to be bound to the hair-slot instead of the tail-slot for any reason: the primary reason being hair- clipping issues, which this will alleviate (see Known Issues). The Hair-slotted version is esp-only, so the original file is required for the meshes and textures. An optional patch for Vampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous Blood is available, whihc obviously requires both this mod and OVBE to run. This patch introduces the vampire hunting armor to the handful of NPCs from OVBE who would be appropriate wearers (there aren't many: like a grand total of 8 out of 100s of added NPCs). Feel free to give it a go if you REALLY want to unite the two mods together stylistically, but there is no need for it outside of aesthetics. This patch should be compatible with either the main or the Hair-Slotted Hat version. Last, the OBVE patch is purely experimental, and I gave it only the bare-minimum of testing (as in to-verify-the-game-doesn't-CTD-on-start-up). Use at your own risk. Incompatibility =============== Fully compatible with David Brasher's Vampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous Blood compilation mod. See Optional Files for information on the experimental patch. Known Issues ============ The hats look odd and over-inflated in size due to the need to accomodate a variety of racial heads. This is intrinsic to the models and there is nothing I can do about them.
