* * * * * Mod Name: Basic Dresses Couture Series: Nailflan Couture Number: 7 Author: Myrystyr Original Author: Nailflan, Mudkips Date: 27/04/2017 Categories: Clothing, Mercantiles Requirements: HGEC or ZKEC body replacer Coronerras'Maximum Compatibility Skeletons Recommended: Optimised Facegen Files DESCRIPTION Hello, and welcome to the latest instalment in the ongoing partial reconstruction of my Couture Collection mod. It is quite possibly larger than the previous instalments all put together. In order to ensure that all of the items in this mod are in stock at one venue, a shop is added to the Imperial City Market District. This mod includes nine mods by Nailflan, six of which were part of my original Couture Collection, as well as the PEDress mod by Mudkips. I have included the latter due to its stockings and shoes, which complement the dresses in this mod nicely. Also, it allows the NPCs in this mod to be dressed exclusively from this mod. There are no custom enchantments in this mod, nor any armour versions of items. While the original Couture Collection included custom factions and a fair bit of silent dialogue, I have elected not to include any in this mod. This is partly due to the time it would take, but also because of an incident I refer to as The Rumble In Bravil. I feel that the shop is a big enough bonus, especially as I intend that it serve as the basis for future compilations. As always, if you are already satisfied with the original mods this one is based on you don't have to download this mod. CONTENTS This mod contains all of the meshes and textures from the original mods, as well as the following esps: 1 - BlackDressReForm, CorsetDressReForm, DarkSweetDressReForm, FrillShortDressReForm, GothicKneeLengthDressReForm, NeckOrnamentReForm, SnowCrystalsDressReForm, StandUpCollarDressReForm, TepalsDressReForm, PEDressResource, PEDressReForm: New (aa) IDs are made for each item. Weight and Values are adjusted in accordance with the Couture Collection Formula. No other change is made, and no cell or worldspace is affected. These are provided as modders resources. 2 - BasicDressesCoutureBase: All of the resources are combined. A respawning container is created, BasicDressesCoutureChest, and all items are added to it. This is also provided as a modders resource. If you do not want to use the shop provided, you can use this esp to add the chest to an existing vendor. Remember to set the chest to a persistent reference, and ownership to the vendor NPC of the cell you add it to, and rename the esp to something like BasicDressesCoutureVENDOR or BasicDressesCoutureYOURNAME. 3 - BasicDressesCoutureShopBase: A shop interior is created, a shopkeeper, and three assistants/models. No exterior cell is modified. This is provided in case you want to place the shop somewhere other than where the next esp does (e.g. if that conflicts with a building added in the same place by another mod, or if you are using Open/Better Cities). The interior cells are based on Rindir's Staffs (with some decluttering and redecorating), and have the EditorIDs: ICCoutureDressShop ICCoutureDressPrivate ICCoutureDressShopCellar The shopkeeper has the Editor ID of CoutureDressShopKeeper, with the Reference Editor ID of CoutureDressShopKeeperRef in the ICCoutureDressShop cell, and has custom AI packages. Ownership was changed from Rindir to the Generic Owner faction (of which the NPCs are members). The shopkeeper's assistants are CoutureDressAssistant1, CoutureDressAssistant2, and CoutureDressAssistant3, with corresponding Refs in the ICCoutureDressPrivate cell and custom AI packages. If you use this esp to put the shop in a position of your own choosing, you will need to use ICTalosWallHouse03 and ICDoor04 (connect to CoutureDressShopDoorRef in ICCoutureDressShop, and remember to lower and rotate the door markers out of their respective doors) for the exterior. Also, I recommend renaming the esp to BasicDressesCoutureShopYOURNAME, BasicDressesCoutureShopPLACE, BasicDressesCoutureShopOPEN, or something similar as suggested by your choice of location. Feel free to upload your alternate version of this mod, provided all permissions and credits are observed; please notify me of your mod, so I can inform other gamers of its existence. 4 - BasicDressesCoutureShopIC: The shop is added to the Market District of Imperial City. It is located opposite Stonewall Shields, and should not get in the way of any NPC following the section of pathgrid (which was not altered in any way) in that area. Cells ICMarketDistrict01 and ICMarketDistrict04, in the appropriate worldspace, are modified by the shop's placement. This is playable immediately, and will serve as the basis for any future updates or renamed merges. Business hours are 7am to 10pm, daily. Lastly, the three shop assistants are given stock AI packages to get them out into the city. The original ReadMe files are included for reference purposes, as is a copy of the Couture Collection Formula. Tools used: Construction Set, File Explorer, Notepad. INSTALLATION 1 - Extract to a temporary location 2 - Copy the meshes and textures to your Oblivion\Data folder 3 - Copy the esp of your choice to use as desired 4 - Tick the esp in Oblivion Launcher to use in game UNINSTALL 1 - Untick whichever esp you are using 2 - Delete the esp, and the following files and folders: Meshes\clothes\Black Dress\ Meshes\clothes\Corset Dress\ Meshes\clothes\Dark Sweet Dress\ Meshes\clothes\Frill Short Dress and Halloween Backpack\ Meshes\clothes\Gothic Knee Length Dress\ Meshes\clothes\neck ornament\ Meshes\clothes\pedress\ Meshes\clothes\Snow crysals dress\ Meshes\clothes\stand up collar Dress\ Meshes\clothes\Tepals Dress\ Textures\clothes\Black Dress\ Textures\clothes\Corset Dress\ Textures\clothes\Dark Sweet Dress\ Textures\clothes\Frill Short Dress and Halloween Backpack\ Textures\clothes\Gothic Knee Length Dress\ Textures\clothes\neck ornament\ Textures\clothes\PEDress\ Textures\clothes\Snow crystals dress\ Textures\clothes\stand up collar dress\ Textures\clothes\Tepals Dress\ Textures\icons\pedress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Black Dress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Corset Dress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Dark Sweet Dress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Frill Short Dress and Halloween Backpack\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Gothic Knee Length Dress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\neck ornament\ Textures\Menus\Icons\pedress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Snow crystals dress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\stand up collar Dress\ Textures\Menus\Icons\Tepals Dress\ CREDIT Special thanks to the original creators Nailflan and Midkips. PERMISSION The original creator's permission applies: Nailflan: ONLY for TESIV:OBLIVION. You may not convert my mods for TESV:SKYRIM, and others. They include not only tweaked Vanilla meshes of TESIV but also mods exclusive to TESIV. Mudkips: You can do whatever you want with this mod but all I ask in return is that you give me and the original authors credit if you distribute any part of this mod. This mod is otherwise free to use, distribute, and adapt without permission. The only additional conditions I make are: * Please do not distribute any part of this mod for commercial purposes. * Please give courtesy notification of any use of this mod in another project. * Please give credit to myself, Nailflan, Mudkips, and any others mentioned in the original ReadMe as appropriate. * Please include a link in your readme and description to this mod. * If you modify the shop and/or NPCs in any way, e.g. beautification (my Construction Set crashes whenever I try to alter an NPC's appearance), please stick to the spirit of this mod, and note that I plan to use this mod as the basis for merging several couture mods in the foreseeable (though not necessarily near) future. * Please do not extensively modify the shopkeeper NPC without notifying me first, as I like her the way she is. CONTACT You can contact me by commenting on this mod's webpage, or any of my uploaded mods. Alternately, comment on my livejournal - http://myrystyr.livejournal.com/ - on any entry I have made with the tes4 tag, with the subject line Nexusmods or the name of the mod you wish to discuss. Please inform me as soon as possible of any problems you may encounter while using this mod. Feedback and constructive criticism are welcome, as are suggestions for future mods. CONFLICTS/ISSUES This mod was used alongside around 130-150 other mods, including several I have uploaded to NexusMods. My game stopped crashing when I uninstalled several mods that affected exterior cells they shouldn't have, added too many NPCs to city worldspaces, or otherwise made unnecessary changes to the game. Thus, I am reasonably confident that you are unlikely to experience any significant issues or conflicts when using this mod. Known Issues: Clipping in some poses, and with some bodies. As I do not use Open Cities, Better Cities, or any other mod that modifies the Imperial City Market District worldspace, I am unable to address issues of compatibility, or provide a patch. This is part of why I made the ShopBase esp. You are free to adjust this mod accordingly. In my original Couture Collection, Merilindil provided some custom summoning spells, including a swimming tutor and party guest. While I have not included such features at the present time, her athletics training and publican drinks vendor chest are a homage to these. She also had two sisters helping her run the shop, with each having a different vendor chest. I might revive this arrangement in a future merged update to this mod, as this shop provides a good base for collecting my various Couture (and perhaps some other) clothing mods, or in other mods I make according to the pattern followed by this one. Similarly, while my original mod added Nailflan clothing to about 30 different NPCs, I have elected to forgo doing so via a dynamic adding script at this stage. In the meantime, the other NPCs in the shop serve as fashion models. Speaking of the shop assistants, during playtesting two of them did nothing more than stand around the shop all day, despite a wander package, and one didn't even come downstairs. I have given them stock AI packages that will get them out and about in the Imperial City, so you should see them at different places and times during the day. This includes the main quest martial law package, as while the shopkeeper is essential they are not. Skimpiness Factor: The clothing is more stylish than skimpy, providing a variety of coverage. Playtest Report: From previous experience with the items in this mod, no problems are to be expected. It is of course entirely possible that some items might be deemed non-lore-friendly/compliant. Playtested on a HGEC 2.1 body, and a ZKEC Kaihen/Extra Wide body, and no issues were encountered. From some angles, the lace hem of some dresses seems to cancel out the black of the pantyhose. If this proves particularly distracting, consider the stockings-and-shoes from my Girlish Bare Shoulder Dresses mod or Girlish Peasant Couture Merge Option, or the lingerie panty from Set Lingerie Redux combined with shoes from High Heels Redux. If you see any NPCs moonwalking against the shop exterior, I suggest checking in the Construction Set the details of any other mods you are using that alter the Imperial City. I've seen strange things happen when the pre-existing pathgrid gets altered, particularly when multiple mods affect the same worldspace, and am loath to make any unnecessary changes. I realise that the shopfront impinges slightly onto the sidewalk, and that its location might not at first glance seem the best. While I could have placed it in the back alleys behind the main buildings, in the outer wall that the gate to the Imperial Prison is in, I chose not to for a few reasons. In my original Couture Collection mod, when the shop was in a similar location in the Elven Gardens, the back alley felt very cramped. If I put the shop in a similar location in the Market District, it would feel tucked away and perhaps be harder to find. As an outer wall seems more of a logical place to put a new building (c.f. the Simple Talos Plaza Home, either my version or Kriemen's), there is always the possibility that other mods have already claimed those areas. Lastly, a new facade opposite Stonewall Shields and near Divine Elegance is more prominent; from a role-playing perspective, it draws more customers to the area. My laptop doesn't like screenshots, so feel free to take pics of your characters using this mod. Upload them to this mod's webpage, and I'll verify the images as soon as possible. Help a fellow modder out, would you? My current roster of playtest guinea pig characters are mostly low-level. Your gaming experience may differ if you favour higher-level characters. FUTURE PLANS For reference, and as a general outline of the remainder of this series, here are the rough plans I have for other Nailflan mods that I intend to give the Couture Compilation treatment: Knitwear & Minidresses: roomwear, simple outfits collection, MDMM, tight minidress, cute apron, gothic minidress (I am considering placing these in a guesthouse, located roadside near a town or village, although there is room enough in my Imperial City for several more shops and townhouses) Outfits: sexy killer, yoke armour (using the YokeArmourAttire resource from my prior mod), jabot clothes, simple coordinate, petal dress, LDPGC, Pirate Outfits (these can go to an existing vendor or two for the interim, although another shop might be a good place to merge similar mods, e.g. DFSL China Redux and Seraphim Attire) Sexy Lingerie: bodysuit garter, cute summer wears, cute lingerie, sexy shirt, sexy hospital, dress in chains (another possible guesthouse or shop, potentially merged with similar-themed mods e.g. R18PN Bondage Redux) Long Dresses: jpdress, witch long dress, princess line dress, deep dress, veil dress, faded dress, lengthwise frill dress (these can go to an existing vendor for the interim, or I might merge them directly into an update of this mod) Couture Shop Merge (final phase): compile most or all previous Nailflan Couture mods into one location (probably this shop, although a separate location is also possible) and replace the Girlish Peasant script with one utilising all clothing (possibly also revise levelled lists and NPCs from Sneak Ranger Body Armour and Fascinating Leather Couture) Given that I eventually intend to use a script to dynamically add compiled clothing to NPCs, I have included a draft script in the Resources subfolder. So far it only includes the items in this mod. If you wish to use it with this mod, you will have to add the names of NPCs in front of each line, e.g. NameRef.AddItem. For any line you don't want to use, either add "; " in front of it or delete entirely. I won't be adding anything yet, so feel free to experiment. If there is sufficient interest, some of my other mods could also be merged here (e.g. Set Lingerie Redux and High Heels Redux, although they might be better suited to another compilation shop I have in mind). There is also the chance I might keep the Harness Wear Arena Raiment and Swimming Costume Enchanted mods separate. Note that the final phase will be a long way off. At some point before then, there might be a Simple Leather Armour standalone mod (assuming I don't include it in the Outfits compilation). If you have any suggestions or requests for these upcoming mods, including anything that will make mixing and matching these items easier, and any non-Nailflan mods you think might complement these, I'll see what I can do. Similarly, if there's any other mod author with a large number of mods you wish were compiled for ease of play or moved from abandoned chests to existing vendors, leave links to some of their mods and I'll see how far down the to-do list I'll have to put them. Any delays in progress can be attributed to trouble-shooting other modding projects I have, or all my favourite television series I've fallen behind in watching. IN CLOSING This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. Similarly, while OBSE was installed it was not used during play. Nor was any other utility installed or used. The non-player characters are based on my old Dungeons & Dragons campaign world. Please be respectful accordingly. Due to technical difficulties, I am unable to provide screenshots for the foreseeable future. Comments about the lack of pictures only demonstrate that the description/readme was not read. If images are so important to you, then you are welcome to upload your own. No further correspondence will be entered into. Thank you for your understanding. A good and useful ReadMe is a balance between clarity and brevity, and sometimes it is necessary to err on one side for the benefit of the other. All liability is disclaimed for any issues that may arise due to misreading, failing to read, ignoring, misunderstanding, dismissing, modifying or editing without playtesting first, etc. These mods are my way of sharing some of the fun I have playing Oblivion. Thank you for reading, and enjoy your gaming. * * * * *
