=============================================== Slof's Claws by AlienSlof & Loth DeBonneville (modders resource) =============================================== INDEX: *Requirements *About this mod *Installation *Known Bugs & Issues *Incompatibilities & Save game warnings *Credits & Usage *Special Notes =============================================== REQUIREMENTS: =============================================== Oblivion (of course!) Made with CS v1.2 Robert's male body (any) =============================================== ABOUT THIS MOD: =============================================== After someone requested demon claws for their character, Loth DeBonneville agreed to make some, and I agreed to texture them up and get them in-game. This is primarily a modders resource, though I have set up a couple to be playable, so it can be used as a mod in its own right, but also as an example for modders to follow as a template. There is a black set and dark red set available and set up as playable. v1.3: Claws added for stock male and female bodies. Toe claws now added. Ring slot versions of both hand and foot claws added. Added FF support in hand, foot and ring versions. Exnem now in ring slot versions. Robert v4 male body support added. Robert female support added The claws are in a 'Barrel 'O' Claws' in the Testinghall. Type COC TESTINGHALL to get there. Look for the door marked 'Hawkhaven' to get to an outdoor testing area from which you can fast travel. *********************************************************************************************************************** NifSkope Copy/Paste tutorial: Open up the claws nif and the hand nif you want to paste them onto (in separate windows in NifSkope). First make sure that the 'Scene Root' description matches in both nifs - duble click to rename. This should avoid errors when pasting. Click on the claws to select them, then right click on the selection in the list and go to 'copy branch'. Then in the window of the hand nif, click on 'Node' to select it, right click on this and go to 'paste branch' - the claws should paste in without a problem. As long as 'Node' is selected, all the parenting and children numbering should update automatically. The newly-pasted claws will still have all the settings that they started with, including the texture path. Save this out as a different name, then set up in the CS as a hand slot clothing item as normal. *********************************************************************************************************************** =============================================== INSTALLATION: =============================================== This mod should consist of: Slof's Claws.txt Slof's Claws.esp Meshes folder Textures folder Just drag all these (minus the readme) onto the data folder in your Oblivion directory and they will go where they are meant to. For those new to installing mods, I recommend reading this: http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=550589 - It will save me having to answer the same questions over and over again. It's not difficult, just takes a little practice! =============================================== KNOWN ISSUES OR BUGS: =============================================== I've only set these up on Robert's body mesh, so they will need some work to fit on other hand types. See my little tutorial above for how to do this in NifSkope. =============================================== INCOMPATIBILITIES & SAVED GAME WARNINGS: =============================================== Adds all new items, so conflicts should be absent. Always make sure that you back up your existing savegame file before use. Made to use Robert's seamless male body, so skin textures may look rather odd if used with any other. =============================================== CREDITS & PERMISSIONS: =============================================== Robert:- hand mesh Loth DeBonneville:- Robert and Exnem claws Sen-chan:- FF claws, repositioning Robert v4 claws CuChullain:- Robert female claws AlienSlof:- textures This is intended as a modders resource and no extra permissions are required, but please give credit to the relevant makers where it is due. ================================================ SPECIAL NOTES: ================================================ Mail me from my webby at www.slofshive.co.uk if there are any problems.
