Short: No HUD but Text messages

Long: Minimizes all the icons and compass in the HUD but not the text messages. Did it for me to get the plain picture for my screens ;-) Perhaps you like it, too; enjoy!

Install: copy into your Oblivion folder or use a manager.

Uninstall: delete the file hud_main_menu.xml in the folder Data/Menus/main

Permission: Be free to use it in your mods; just don't forget to give credit.

Credit: I took the xml file from my other mod HUD without compass (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/17182), so a big credit goes to Deathless Aphrodite for the xml file in "Unobtrusive No Quest Markers Interface 1.1". Many Thanks!
