Name: Belt-Fastened Quivers Version: 1.3 Date: 9/26/2015 Category: Miscellaneous Author(s): Chesko Skyrim Nexus: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35717 Description =========== This is the animation-only version of Belt-Fastened Quivers. It only contains the HKX files mentioned below. This mod will give the player and all NPCs the appearance of quivers and crossbow bolt cases that are fastened to the belt and hang from the waist behind them. What's more, the arrow drawing animation will match the new position (thanks to Ninivekha for the new drawing animation!) Care was taken to ensure that quiver, bow, crossbow, and bolt placement looks much better in general for all races and sexes, and especially when a backpack from Frostfall - Hypothermia, Camping, Survival is worn. This mod was originally designed as an optional file for Frostfall. However, so many have enjoyed it that I decided to make it a mod in its own right. Details ======= This small mod will move worn quivers for the player and all NPCs, for all races and sexes, down to the waist instead of across the back. Bows have also been moved slightly to the left to avoid (but not prevent) clipping with bed rolls attached to a backpack, and to avoid (but not prevent) collision with Argonian and Khajiit tails. This is a skeleton replacer for all races and sexes. It also includes a modification to two bolt quiver meshes from Dawnguard, in order for them to mount properly using the new quiver bone locations. Finally, it includes a new copy of the bow drawing and firing animations when standing and sneaking. Install ======= This mod is a plugin-less replacer and contains no .esp plugin file. This mod will conflict with any mod that also modifies the Dawnguard bolt quiver meshes. This mod will conflict with any mod that also modifies the arrow draw and fire animations. Interoperability =============== If you are using a mod that includes new crossbow bolt quiver meshes, those quivers will display incorrectly (floating away from the body). They will need to be modified in order to display properly using the new skeleton meshes. The meshes for the bolt quivers may be packed in a BSA archive. If so, extract them using BSAOpt (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/247) 1. Open the quiver model in NifSkope (http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope) 2. Expand the 0 BSFadeNode. 3. Locate the first NiNode, which should appear as: "4 NiNode" with the value "Arrow [5]" 4. Right click, and go to Transform, Edit. 5. Enter the following values: Translation X: -6.0000 Y: -30.0000 Z: 1.0000 Rotation Y: 0.00 P: 0.00 R: 147.00 Scale 1.0000 6. Save the mesh. 7. Test in game. It should now display properly. 8. Repeat for any other meshes as needed. Known Issues or Bugs ==================== Quivers and bows may clip with cloaks and armor, depending on the cloak, your race, your sex, and the armor you are wearing. There is no possible way to prevent this. Some combinations clip worse than others. The bed roll used in Frostfall's backpacks has been moved outwards in order to accommodate space for the quiver. Quivers will clip with the bedrolls on Sabre Gear Backpacks. Argonian and Khajiit quivers will clip into the tail slightly. I can't fix this. Bows will clip with backpacks. There is nothing I can do about this.
