NMMtoWrye is a tool that allows to use NMM's installer (with support for omod and fomod) with Wrye BAIN. * Use Nexus Mod Manager - To download and update mods from skyrim- or tesnexus * Use Wrye Bash Installer - To install mods without fomod installers - To manage, uninstall and delete mods * Use NMM, NMMtoWrye and BAIN - To install mods with fomod installers === Migration from previous version === * Replace the exe, but keep the xml file. === Setup === * Install Wrye Bash - Wrye Bash will ask you for a folder to store the installation data - On Windows 7, by default this is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Mods - In this setup, I will refer to this folder as %SkyrimMods% * Download this file - Place the two files from the archive (NMMtoWrye.exe and .xml) in the same folder as "Wrye Bash.exe" - Usually, this is "skyrim/Mopy" * Install Nexus Mod Manager - Set up the following values either during installation or in the settings dialog Mod Directory: %SkyrimMods%\Bash Installers Installer Info: %SkyrimMods%\Install Info Skyrim Directory: %SkyrimMods%\TempData Custom Launch Command: Path to NMMtoWrye.exe, either absolute or relative to %SkyrimMods%, in my setup it is "..\..\skyrim\Mopy\NMMtoWrye.exe" - If you were are already using NMM, copy all mods from the old mod directory to the new one * Open nmmtowrye.xml with your favorite text editor - Replace all %SkyrimMods% with the proper path - Make sure they match the paths set up in NMM === Installing a mod from Nexus === * Download the mod with Nexus Mod Manager * If it has no install script - Open Wrye Bash - Install the mod with BAIN * If it has an installer - Install the mod with NMM - You can install multiple mods, they will be packaged into one for BAIN - Click "Launch Custom Skyrim" to open this tool - The dialog should show you the name of the mod you just installed; if not, something went wrong - You can change the name, but be careful not to overwrite the original file - Set compression to Ultra if this is a very large mod - Click "Add to BAIN" - This tool will package the configured mod for BAIN and uninstall it from NMM - In BAIN, install the BAIN-ready version of the mod
