Soul Gems Glow When Full (version 1) by KSG Does what it says. Since soul gems glowed quite a bit by default, this mod also makes them much dimmer when empty. TO INSTALL: This archive should work fine with things like the Nexus Mod Manager. To install manually, drag the contents of the archive into your Skyrim folder. If you put it in the right place, Windows should ask if you want to merge folders called "data" (and possibly others like "meshes" and "textures"). Run the Skyrim launcher and select "data files". Make sure there is a check next to "Soul Gems Glow When Full.esp" (if that's missing from the list, you installed the mod to the wrong place). You can also use your mod manager to activate this mod, if you have one. KNOWN ISSUES: This mod does not depend on any other mods. However, you should get Acquisitive Soul Gems ( http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5312 ) because it fixes a Skyrim bug that becomes really obvious when using Soul Gems Glow When Full. (It's the bug where player-filled gems are worth less than bought/found full gems, and can lose their souls when dropped. It turns out that the same bug also prevents them from glowing.) Because Skyrim handles names in a weird way, I had to rename all the full soul gems by hand back to their original names. ("Common Soul Gem" etc..) Therefore this mod will make the full gem names English. If you give me the names in your language, I can try to make translations. There is currently no way to make a language-neutral version of this mod. TO UNINSTALL: Delete the following files in your Skyrim\Data folder: Soul Gems Glow When Full.esp textures\cubemaps\soulgems_full.dds textures\cubemaps\soulgems_empty.dds textures\cubemaps\soulgems_red.dds If your meshes\clutter\soulgem folder has 12 nif files in it, then just go ahead and delete the folder. If for some reason it has more (like another mod put stuff there) then just delete these ones: meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemblack_full.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemblack01.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemcommon_full.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemcommon01.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemgrand_full.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemgrand01.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemgreater_full.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemgreater01.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemlesser_full.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgemlesser01.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgempetty_full.nif meshes\clutter\soulgem\soulgempetty01.nif COMPATIBILITY: Works with: -Acquisitive Soul Gems -Smart Souls (probably) -Any soul gem texture replacer which only comes with a textures folder, not a meshes folder. -Any mod that effects only Azura's Star. And yes, you should be able to use all those at once. I don't think load order matters here. Does not work with: -Transparent Soulgems -Anything else that replaces the soul gem models themselves. (Soulgem mods that contain a \meshes\ folder.) -All Soul Gems Are Reusable Most .esp mods effecting the behavior of soul gems will conflict with this one. You will have to test them out for yourself and see how things work. OTHER NOTES: If you got this file somewhere other than skyrimnexus.com, you should check there to see if you have the latest version. Currently the link is: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5666 The best way to contact me is through the Nexus or the official Bethesda forums. I am KSG on both. I do have a tendancy to forget about sites for months at a time, though, so don't wait up. Made with Nifscope, ATI CubeMapGen, GIMP, TESVSnip, and possibly SkyEdit.
