Description At the end of Darkness Returns quest Karliah promises that there will be a portal connecting Nightingale Hall to the Twilight Sepulcher, yet none ever appears in game. This plugin attempts to fix that blunder on the developers' part by introducing such portal into the game, but only after the aforementioned quest is completed. In Nightingale Hall the portal is located in the same room where you receive Hightingale Armor during Trinity Restored quest. If you haven't yet completed Darkness Returns quest, the portal will be inactive with just an empty alcove in the wall (can be seen in one of the screenshots). In Twilight Sepulcher the portal exits into Inner Sanctum, replacing one of the three portals that are already there (the type of the portal is auto-load, in contrast to the other two 'on-activate' ones). Additionally the plugin fixes one aspect of The Litany of Larceny quest (only if you haven't completed it yet), Karliah's behaviour, and Ebonmere's opening animation not playing for some players. For the specific notes about these fixes see Changelog section. ******************************************************************************** 1. Installation Installation of the plugin is a bit involved if you are not using mod manager. First of all, you have to unpack the archive. Then take the file NightingalePortal.esp and place it into your Skyrim Data folder (normally found at C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data). After that check that the folder Scripts exists in the Data folder. If it does not, you may simply copy folder Scripts from the archive into your Skyrim Data folder. Otherwise, copy all the PEX-files from the corresponding Scripts folder of the archive into the Scripts folder found in the Skyrim Data directory. If you have any conflicts while copying, you'll have to tread carefully because this likely means this mod is uncompatible with some other mod you've previously installed (or you're updating this mod over some older version). In such a case you have to check every individual mod and decide which files to keep and which to replace. You can skip copying the PSC-files from Scripts\Source folder, because those are source files for the compiled PEX-files and are only needed if you're a developer yourself and planning on extending this mod. Do not forget to check the plugin file in the DATA FILES section of the launcher. ******************************************************************************** 2. Uninstallation Go into the Data folder of your Skyrim installation and delete the file named NightingalePortal.esp. After that go into the Scripts folder within the Data folder and delete the following files there (delete them only if you originally copied them here as described in the Installation section of this readme): QF_TG09Post_000E1782.pex QF_TGLarceny_0004C6C2.pex TG09BlackPoolTriggerScript.pex TG09PostExitTriggerScript.pex TGLarcenyItemScript.pex Deleting the PEX-files is necessary if you want to completely remove the effect of having this plugin. It is best to uninstall the plugin while your character is not standing inside either Twilight Sepulcher or Nightingale Hall. ******************************************************************************** 3.
