"Scrap-O-Tron 2000" version 1.5 by Xavier13 (aka djxavier13) This mod introduces the Scrap-O-Tron 2000, which makes scrapping junk into components as easy as it can get! You can find this unit in the settlement build menu's Crafting category and is small enough to be placed in much tighter spaces than other workbenches. Unlike other workbenches, no crafting interactions are required! Just walk up to it and press the desired buttons on the unit to perform its functions! Once placed, input and output containers appear, as well as the 4 interaction buttons in between them. If you need to manually sort inventory, you can access the containers. If you're in a rush, just press a buttons instead. * The "Input All Junk" button instantly takes all junk that can be scrapped from the player's inventory and places it in the unit's input container. * The "Input All Junk Except..." button first sorts out useful items from the junk, then moves all other junk from the player's inventory into the unit's input container. * The "Disassemble Input to Output" button breaks down all junk found in the input container and moves the resulting components into the output container. * The "Move Output to Warehouse" button moves any items in the output container into the settlement's workshop inventory. You may be thinking, "why not a 'Move Output to Player' button?" It's actually very easy to us access the output container and use the standard Take-All function, but quite another matter to move stuff out specific stuff out of the player's inventory and put it in the workshop. Yes, you could workshop's "Store All Junk" function, but that moves *everything* from the Junk folder into the workshop. What if you just wanted to move the components you scrapped? This just make less work for you! What if you want to add or remove junk that's on the Junk-Exclusion list? I made this easy for you. Instead of having to edit the 550+ items in the scrappable-junk list, there's a separate form list for junk to exclude from scrapping, which has far fewer items to sift through. If you use FO4Edit, you can add or remove items from the Junk Exclusion list. Just make sure not to touch the other 3 FormLists, or it won't work properly. ============ Installation ============ I highly recommend using Nexus Mod Manager to install this automatically, but it's probably a good idea to know what this does install so you can root it out if NMM fails to uninstall it properly. If you download the mod to install manually, it's easiest to extract it to the root Fallout 4 folder, as the mod's files are already nested in the appropriate subfolders in the zip file. I used a naming convention to make it easy to find which files belong to my mods, specifically. The only reason why some quest items were added to the Junk-All list and then the Junk-Exclusion list, is because they are not essential and left with the player after the quests are complete. For instance, the Giddyup Buttercup Parts is a quest item found in the world, but once its associated quest is completed, it's no longer available to the player, so there's no point in having that item in the Junk-All list to begin with. If there are any other items you would prefer to have scrapped or not want to have scrapped, and you know how to use the Creation Kit or FO4Edit (FO4Edit is faster/easier for this), then you can edit the X13_JunKExclusionsList found in the FormID List category. I recommend not touching the other 3 lists and there shouldn't be any need to do so, unless you're trying to make it include junk or components from other mods. Finally, these lists were built solely on the base game's content. Far Harbor DLC only included a handful of additional junk. I'm planning on making another override list for that and a combination override for Survival + Far Harbor. Or, I'll include alternate main downloads for DLC. I'll likely do the same when Nuka World is released. =================== Version 1.5 Details =================== This mod now makes the following previously-unscrappable junk items scrappable for Cloth. Cloth was chosen to fall in line with other paper-based items that scrap for cloth as Bethesda originally designed. For whatever reason, they're now included on both the All-Junk and Junk Exclusion lists with version 1.5. I also added them to the exclusion list, in case you might be making trips to multiple settlements and not wanting to convert the weightless shipment receipts into their heavy components. More importantly, so that the new Portable Scrapping Toolkit ignores them and you don't end up suddenly weighed down with 200 Concrete when out adventuring! And speaking of the Portable Scrapping Toolkit, this is an all new item that you can craft at any chem station (in Utility) and take with you to scrap junk anywhere! It can be found in the Aid category of your inventory. Each one has 3 uses before it vanishes. To make it safe and practical, it only scraps junk that's not on the exclusion list.
