Name: Institute Bunker Version: ALPHA 0.1 Date: 12/26/2015 Category: Player Homes / Locations - New Requirements: 7-Zip Recommended: Nexus Mod Manager Author: OmegaDir URL: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6945/? Description =========== The Institute Bunker is something I've been working on for some time now. I was looking to make a player home much like mods from other Bethesda games. Since the GECK is not out yet, I can't do a lot of the things I want to, but this was a great start to learning how to mod. The bunker was once used by the Institute for field operations, but has since been abandoned. It looks like someone may have wanted the Sole Survivor to end up here as there is a note on a terminal. There is a lot of enpty space and a little clutter, but it has all the basics - crafting tables, a bed, bathroom, and bobblehead and magazine storage. This is a very early work in progress. I wanted to upload it to start getting some ideas flowing and get some feedback. Things may not work, so be warned. It is the Institure BioScience location that has been modified (without the GECK, it's hard to do a totally new location). It is not tied to the Institute or the original BioScience location, so this will not be affected by anything you do in there or with the faction. Much of the original stuff has been removed. I was able to get terminal-only doors working as well as the laser field doorway. I even had to extract the mesh to remove all those plants from the planters which is why there is a mesh file. The workshop DOES NOT WORK, however anything you store in the crafting benches will be shared between the others. Once I can figure out how to properly set up a brand new settlement location, that is something I'd like to do. Location ======== There is a map marker slightly west from the ranger cabin (south from Vault 111) that is discoverable. You will find a hatch that will take yo into the bunker. Fast travel is possible into the bunker (but not out, working on it). Install ======= NMM Install (MUCH easier) ------- 1. Click NMM Install from the mod's Nexus page. Manual Install (a little harder) ------- 1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy all of the files to Fallout 4's Data folder. 2. Edit your plugins file to add InstituteBunker.esp to the end of the list. - The file is located in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt - Make sure to set this file as READ-ONLY. Uninstall ========= NMM Uninstall ------- 1. Use normal uninstall method in NMM. Manual Uninstall ------- 1. Delete InstituteBunker.esp from Fallout 4's Data folder and the InstituteBunker folder inside the meshes folder. 2. Edit your plugins file to remove the .esp entry. - Make sure to set this file as READ-ONLY again if you use other mods. Incompatibility =============== None that I know of. Known Issues or Bugs ==================== - Workshop not working - Unable to fast travel from interior - Placement issue with one of the mats in the main room - Lots of more things to be added History ======= ALPHA 0.1 ~ 12/26/2015 ~ Initial release Contact ======= You can find me on NexusMods as OmegaDir - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/users/16231659/?
