===================== Scrap Metal Crafting Created by: FGRaptor ===================== 1. Description 2. Requirements 3. Installation / Uninstallation 4. Compatibility 5. Misc Stuff 6. Changelog 1. Description =============== This mod is pretty simple. It will allow you to craft Scrap Metal, integrated in the CRAFT Dialogue. Originally this was made to craft Scrap Metal out of Tin Cans, as I found it disturbing to be able to repair some weapons in FWE with Tin Cans, but some not. So I wanted to use them to craft Scrap Metal, which then can be turned into Repair Kits. The old version using only Tin Cans as resource can still be downloaded, but I have made this more complex. Now you will have to craft Large Spare Parts and Small Spare Parts out of a variety of metal junk found in the wasteland. Using these Spare Parts you can then craft Scrap Metal out of it. From the CRAFT Dialogue choose "Scrap Metal Crafting". You can then choose to craft Large Spare Parts, Small Spare Parts, Scrap Metal, Convert Spare Parts or Show Components. Crafting should be self-explanatory. Converting will let you convert Large to Small and Small to Large Spare Parts. Show Components will show you all components in your inventory that can be used and also how many Large Parts, Small Parts and Scrap Metal you can craft using these. WARNING: Choosing "Craft Large Spare Parts", "Craft Small Spare Parts" or "Craft Scrap Metal" will automatically craft the max. amount of these. If you want to craft less, you have to first clear your inventory. You can check with the notes and the "Show Components" option how many Scrap Metal, etc. you can craft. Depending on your Repair Skill this will be more or less efficient. If your Repair Skill is below 25, you will need 3 Large Spare Parts and 6 Small Spare Parts to gain 1 Scrap Metal. You will gain 1 Spare Part from any sized component. You can convert 2 Large to 1 Small and 6 Small to 1 Large Part. If your Repair Skill is between 25 and 50, you will need 2 Large Spare Parts and 4 Small Spare Parts to gain 1 Scrap Metal. You will gain 2 Large Spare Parts from large components and 2 Small Spare Parts from small components, rest as before. You can convert 1 Large to 1 Small and 4 Small to 1 Large Part. If your Repair Skill is between 50 and 75, you will need 1 Large Spare Part and 2 Small Spare Parts to gain 1 Scrap Metal. You will gain 3 Large Spare Parts from large Components, rest as before. You can convert 1 Large to 1 SMall and 4 Small to 1 Large Part. If your Repair Skill is between 75 and 100, you will need 1 Large Spare Part and 2 Small Spare Parts, but gain 2 Scrap Metal. You will gain 3 Small Spare Parts from small components, rest as before. You can convert 1 Large to 2 Small and 2 Small to 1 Large Part. If your Repair Skill is 100, you won't get more Scrap Metal, but you will gain 2 Large Spare Parts from medium components and 2 Small Spare Parts from tiny components. You can convert 1 Large to 2 Small and 2 Small to 1 Large Part. You can use the following items to create Large Spare Parts: Large Components: Pot Coffee Pot Metal Cooking Pot Pressure Cooker Rake Medium Components: Dog Bowl Dinner Plate Paperweight Tin Plate Metal Cooking Pan The following items can be used to create Small Spare Parts: Small Components: Harmonica Spatula Bonesaw Tin Can Wrench Tiny Components: Fork Butter Knife Butter Knife Metal Spoon Spork Forceps Scalpel Scissors Tweezers 2. Requirements ================ CRAFT - Community Resource to Allow Fanmade Tinkering -> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4447 3. Installation / Uninstallation ================================= Updating from 1.0: Delete the previous .esp and continue. Installation: Open the "FGRaptors Scrap Metal Crafting.fomod" with FOMM -> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640 and activate it using the Package Manager. Then activate the fgScrapMetalCrafting.esp. Uninstallation: Deactivate the fgScrapMetalCrafting.esp or deactivate it using the Package Manager or delete it using the same. 4. Compatibility ================= Compatibility: Should be compatible with everything, as it's only adding these new crafting options. And as I'm not aware of any other mods adding this option... 5. Misc Stuff ============== This fits well with FO3 Wanderers Edition -> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2761, as I think, as it gives a greater meaning to scavenging and in this way more options to get Scrap Metal and therefor the FWE Repair Kits. It's also good to just give you a need for scavenging those damn Cans. Another great mod to use with this is Bobby Pin and Tin Can CRAFTing -> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8449. A small mod, but adds some nice small features. And check out my other mod, Weapon DisAssembly -> http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12717 It allows you to disassemble and assemble standard Fallout 3 weapons, for easier repair and some features in the future. It's also made for compatibility. 6.
