The gist of it is that I figured out how to significantly improve how character heads look in New Vegas and ended up with a bunch of neat assets, but being occupied with a ton of other projects I knew I couldn't see it through into a full experience on my schedule - so this is primarily a resource and a demo of how much can be done with NV's heads, but you can totally play with it too. Detail: ------- I've added my own copied versions of Hispanic, Caucasian, Asian and African American races and routed each of them to use their own custom head models. I've also sculpted a few original normal maps to really fully realize the faces, as well as given the vanilla female head texture a much needed round of polishing. All my files for this mod can be found under / character/nuska in both meshes and textures. Incompatibilities: ------------------ Hair and eye mods probably won't work on this mod without someone going out of their way to add compatibility. I don't have time to do it, sorry. Manual installation: -------------------- Drag and drop contained Data folder into your FNV directory. Nothing should get overwritten. Manual Uninstallation: ---------------------- Remove folders Data/Textures/Characters/Nuska and Data/Meshes/Characters/Nuska. Tools Used: ----------- [*]NifScope [*]Photoshop [*]3Ds Max [*]G.E.C.K. Extra Tools Used: ----------------- Zbrush xNormal Frequently Asked Questions: --------------------------- 1. Why isn't this a replacer? ------------------------------------------ I considered it, but I'm still very much occupied with my projects with Skyrim and Oblivion that I just plainly don't have the time to do it. I fully encourage anyone willing to pick it up though. Good luck sorting through all those NPC faces. 2. Why didn't you do men too? ------------------------------------------ I don't personally play male characters and they're far better off with FO3/NV than women are. Women's heads have suffered from a lot worse distortion so they were the first priority for me. 3. Are you going to cover men at some point? ------------------------------------------ I don't know, probably not. A very unlikely maybe. 4. Can I use this mod for [X]? ------------------------------------------ Yes! Do anything with these, just throw my name in the credits somewhere. Legal and Licensing: -------------------- I authorize any and all use of these assets as long as I'm credited for them appropriately. Everything goes. Want to make your own custom race out of this? Go for it. ------------------------------------------ ReadMe generated with: Pyròs: GuideLines ------------------------------------------
