You will know the Garden Pot recipe automatically if you don't already have it on your save. The Garden Pot materials have been reduced from 1 Clay, 10 Stone, 1 Refined Quartz to just 10 Stone.

:: FEATURES ::
• Crops will not grow in soil
• Plants planted in Garden Pots are spared

• Garden Pot is introduced by Stardew Valley 1.3
• No need to hoe Garden Pots
• Crows don't eat plants in Garden Pots
• Garden Pots can be placed indoors to grow crops out of season

Without Better Garden Pots, a lot of basic mechanics in the game don't work normally (bee houses, sprinklers, etc.) I recommend turning on planting Ancient Seeds in Garden Pots, but leaving "grow crops in any season outside as well" off.

::  KNOWN ISSUES ::
• Dead crops are not replaced by a dead crop sprite and are instead simply removed from the tile. This has no real mechanical effect but doesn't look the prettiest.
