Better Mages, Better Templars, WTF Tranquil? (for DAO) Version 1.0 Date: 2016-10-04 File under: Nitpicky nitpicking. Author: theskymoves ---------------- Brief description: A small collection of vanilla equipment tweaks for Templar and Mage NPCs. ---------------- Wordy elaboration: A lot of NPC equipment doesn't make sense... Apprentice mages roaming freely, Templars wielding Dalish-style blades, Tranquil-robed mages using magic. Some NPCs have unique gear in their inventory, but not equipped. Still others exchange their gear for inexplicable substitutes, like the epilogue iterations of Lanaya (wearing Dalish armour) and Zathrian (equipped with swords). With a focus on templar and mage NPCs, I've made what I think are logical substitutions of alternate vanilla items, equipped unique gear, and made continuity edits. I've also included a few related tweaks, such as removing Tranquil robes from some dwarves, and fixing some minor weirdness with several denizens of the Circle Tower and Fade. ---------------- Notes and nonsense: Uses only vanilla assets, so there are no prerequisites. The UTCs can be installed (to override) a la carte, so any changes that are not desirable can simply be omitted. As with any equipment edits, these files must be installed prior to entering the map containing the affected NPC, and, once that map has been entered, will continue to govern the NPCs appearance for that playthrough, even if the UTC is uninstalled. Not included, but related and enumerated for your consideration: Wynne Robe Fix (complete!) (https://kinlochhold.tumblr.com/post/146622908764/) to address Wynne's Ostagar-and-epilogue Tranquil robes.
