Brief description
Simple armored hood using the vanilla warlock model. Craftable, upgradeable, and enchantable; beast races and Survival Mode enabled. Lowered version with 1/2 armor rating uses body slot 45. Dynamic option available using the Dynamic Armor Variants framework.

Standalone option: none
CC option: Alternate Armors - Daedric Mail
Dynamic options (standalone or CC): Dynamic Armor Replacer, Dynamic Armor Variants (plus Dynamic Armor Variants SE and Dynamic Lowered Hoods Fixes, if you're running Skyrim SE 1.597)

Vanilla pathing to support your favorite mage hood texture
Models for both sexes and all races
Equippable with circlets
Integration into Missing Merchant leveled lists (CC options)
Dynamic options (thanks to Parapets) automatically raise/lower the hood based on the wearer's location
ESP-FE


How to acquire
Craftable at the forge with the Daedric Smithing perk. CC option also requires completion of the Missing Merchant quest (https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Missing_Merchant). Or type -- 

help "mail hood" 

-- quotation marks included, into the console to find the ID, or use AddItemMenu, or...


Known issue
Minor clipping around the back and shoulders, typical for this hood model. 


Compatibility
Standalone version edits no vanilla records and should be compatible with anything.

CC Options:
Add both hood versions to the following leveled lists from Alternate Armors - Daedric Mail. 
* ccBGSSSE051_LItemArmorAllBlades
* ccBGSSSE051_LItemArmorAllBladesNonGlobal
* ccBGSSSE051_LItemArmorHelmet50

Edit the AA - Dedric Mail Matching Set perk to better accommodate the lowered Daedric Mail hood.
* ccBGSSSE051_MatchingSet

Edit one outfit record (ccBGSSSE051_ArmorBladesOutfit), replacing the vanilla Daedric helmet with the raised Daedric Mail Hood.

Other mods that touch these records will need patching.


Future plans
All options: Enable subtle animation on the trailing scarf. Maybe.
CC Option: Add the standard hood to the quest reward received from Ma'dran.
