We've all been there, you're exploring the wilds of Skyrim combing through caves, tombs, dungeons, forts, and cities picking up or buying everything you want or absolutely need when all of a sudden that dreaded over-encumbered warning hits the top left corner of the screen, "You are carrying too much to be able to run." After spending precious hours of your real-life tediously combing over your inventory and dropping those precious treasures you painstakingly worked and scavenged for, you work up the nerve to spend your next perk point handling this infuriating issue only to be met with ONE SINGLE disappointing perk that only adds a whopping 100 carry weight and that's only after you've invested 2 other perk points in the Pickpocketing tree that more often than not isn't worth even bothering with otherwise. Well fellow adventurers, your prayers to the perk gods have been answered!!! Introducing a mod that will literally change your life... GIF 1 This mod is all about adding to your precious carry weight and ending the shortage for good! This mod changes Extra Pockets from one measly perk into a 5 tiered juggernaut. Each investment into the Extra Pockets perk grants additional carry weight beyond just the 100 of the standard perk adding up to a grand total of 1000 additional carry weight at the last rank. The breakdown is as follows: 1st Rank = 100 additional carry weight (+100 Total) [Level 10+ in Pickpocket required] 2nd Rank = 150 additional carry weight (+250 Total) [Level 20+ in Pickpocket required] 3rd Rank = 200 additional carry weight (+450 Total) [Level 30+ in Pickpocket required] 4th Rank = 250 additional carry weight (+700 Total) [Level 40+ in Pickpocket required] 5th Rank = 300 additional carry weight (+1000 Total) [Level 50+ in Pickpocket required] I've also removed the perk restriction that forced you to invest perk points in "Light Fingers" and "Night Thief" before you could access Extra Pockets since you shouldn't have to invest mid-way into a rarely used perk tree to access Skyrim's version of "Strong Back" from Fallout. This is especially true if your character is a buffed up berserker who's busy pillaging the bodies of your foes rather than stealing their jewelry when they're sleeping :P Instead every rank requires a minimum Pickpocket skill (10, 20, 30, etc.), I suppose this doesn't really fit in with the logic described above but that's what you get when Bethesda decides to place the ONLY perk dedicated to carry weight in the Pickpocket tree of all places. Ugh. This should also work if you have the Extra Pockets perk already as everything it stays the same other than modifying the requirements and tacking the additional ranks on to it. I admittedly didn't test this however, just save before slapping it on and you should be fine. The grand mystical and fantasy world of Skyrim is far too large and much too dense to have to pull up the map and fast travel to your chosen residence to drop off your loot every half hour. Let's stop punishing ourselves by wasting our time and immersion factor dealing with carry weight constantly. GIF 2 ----------------------------- Installation: Simply download and extract the contents right into your data folder and activate the .ESP with your preferred mod manager or Skyrim SE's built-in manager in the "MODS" page. That's literally all it takes to end the constant draining of your hard-earned time ;) Keep in mind that this will conflict with any other mod that changes the Extra Pockets perk, modify your mod order by placing this one under your other perk mods and you should be just fine. ----------------------------- Uninstall: IMPORTANT: You're going to have to remove all of the added perk ranks by removing the perks individually starting from last to first. Just type in "help extra" into the console and they should pop up as "ExtraPockets05", "ExtraPockets04", etc. take down the IDs (they will be different for every install based on load order) and type in "player.removeperk ID" (ID being the 5th rank [ExtraPockets05], then again with the 4th rank [ExtraPockets04] and so on). After that's done, save, exit the game, deactivate, remove or delete the .ESP and you're done! The reason you have to remove the perks is because the additional carry weight will be permanent if you don't remove those perks first, I suppose you could also just type in "player.setav carryweight xxx" into the console and change your carry weight to the desired amount manually but rather to be safe than sorry with any Bethesda title :P ----------------------------- Made from scratch with the Skryim SE Creation Kit released 10-31-2016.
