============================================================ TES V: Skyrim Solar's Portable Containers By Solar T Version 1.7se ============================================================ Description =========== Several craftable, portable containers that can be placed anywhere (except Whiterun exteriors due to whiterun's buggy terrain) and provides save non-respawning storage. Also comes with an optional Menu system for auto-sorting commonly stored items, such as Crafting materials, books, ingredients, Soul Gems, ect.. Handy if your home needs more containers, or you just want something you can throw all your storage items into quickly! Craft everything from barrels, to bookshelves. Just drop the Furniture kit on the floor/table and move to where you want them, then activate the item to place it. When you use your new container, a menu pops up asking what you want to do. If you don't want to see the menu anymore, just click Options and Toggle Menu! Click it again to make menus show once again. Every container is individually tracked, so there's no limit to how many you can place. Be it one or one hundred (though I advise against it. It could potentially make a cell laggy adding that many new objects). This mod is based off the classic "Craftable and Moveable Alchemy and Crafting Containers" by Zaria http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10045/? As much as I loved Zaria's work, I felt there was just more that could be done with it, so I built my own version from the ground up modeled after Zaria's work, but adding new features, including DLC support and an newer cleaner scripting system. ============ How it Works ============ All containers are craftable at a forge. Once crafted, drop the Furniture Kit anywhere you want. The Furniture Kit uses the same model as the actual container, so you can see how it looks and how large it is, as well as place it how you want. Activating the Furniture Kit will place the actual container in the exact spot at the exact angle as where the Kit was placed. If at any time you wish you cancel placement while the Furniture Kit is out, just crouch/sneak and activate it, and the kit will be placed back in your inventory. From there, activating the container opens a menu. The menu allows you to Open the container, Auto sort items or let you tweak various options. The Options Menu contains the following features: - Pick Up Places the Container's kit back in your inventory and removes the container from the game world. It also places anything that was in the container in your inventory. - Movement Allows you to adjust and fine tune the container's placement, just in case you need to move it - Angle Allows you to adjust the objects angle from any axis. - Scale Allows you to change the size of the object - Toggle Menu Toggles the menu system on and off. If the menu is deactivated, you can still access it by activating the container while sneaking. ====== F.A.Q. ====== Q. The chest seems to change textures/model after I'm finished moving it and finally place it! A. This is true if you use any replacers such as SMIM. It's still the same object, only my meshes for placement are based off the original models and textures, where SMIM or whatever replacer you use, alters the original model. It can't be helped, but it doen't hurt anything either. Q. Wait.. Why did this chest appear sideways/backwards when I first dropped it, but most others are facing me!? A. This is due to the orientation of the original models Bethesda made. I only add havok'd versions of these into the game to use as placement markers. The actual containers just use the default models (making them very texture/mesh replacement friendly), but this results in some containers first spawning at different angles. Fortunatly, only a couple are off and it doesn't actually hurt anything. =============== Version History =============== Future Versions: - Attempt to make it so auto-sorting weapons/armor does not unequip your gear. The Container no longer has to fade in, so I removed the delay. - All Containers appear under the Containers category instead of Misc now. - Several containers are now crafted at the Tanner, instead of the forge. These include the Satchel, the Sacks and the Pouch - Several containers have requirements now before they appear in your crafting menu. Most of these are just smithing skill checks. Naturally, higher quality containers require higher level smithing skill. Others, require perks such as Dwemer Smithing is required for Dwemer containers. Elven Smithing for Falmer and Snow elf containers. And in the case of Soul Cairn containers, you have to have been to and escaped the Soul Cairn before they'll appear in your crafting list. - Havok redone and improved for all the container markers, making placement easier - Required materials have been revamped to better use available materials from all expansions and try to make it feel more realistic. - Values have been reworked to be slightly higher than the required materials Version 1.5.1se - Fixed a small issue with the Snow Elf chest - Fixed problem with BSA archive.
