Script Changes: New Script, MH_MagnusStart, attached to MH_MagnusNote Quest Changes: None New Quest Route: Start by going to Septimus Severus outpost. There is a key on shelves hidden by books. Use to unlock chest and read note which starts Staff of Magnus quest. From this point it proceeds exactly as originally scripted, you have the Torc to unlock Labyrinthian and will slay the normal guardian. Note as it starts the quest as normal, all previous quests in the Winterhold chain will be completed and you will have any items gained. You can then complete the Winterhold chain as normal or abandon it if you do not want to be Arch-Mage. You may have to fight magical anomalies etc to and use the staff on the barrier to gain access to the College, however once inside you should be able to operate normally without getting involved further in the quest. A Daedra's Best Friend Quest: DA03 Dialog Changes: None Character Changes: None Object Changes: The Rueful Axe is no longer taken from you Location Changes: None Script Changes: The line Game.GetPlayer().removeitem(RuefulAxe, 1000) has been deleted from the Papyrus Fragment for Quest Stage 150 Quest Changes: The Log entry for Quest Stage 200 has been altered to read “I ran in to a talking dog named Barbas who had a falling out with his master Clavicus Vile. I've retrieved the Rueful Axe for Clavicus who offered me a deal. I decided to reunite Barbas and Vile and I received the Masque of Clavicus Vile. However it looks like Vile may have lied as I still have the Axe too. I am glad I did not take the other deal. “ Quest Changes: None New Quest Route: Hand in axe and reunite Vile and Barbus. Saviors Hide Quest: MH_HideQuest (new quest), DA05 Dialog Changes: None Character Changes: None Object Changes: Note added to the table near the Rueful Axe in Rimerock Burrow (Rimerock Burrow01). MH_HideNoteMaster is the master and MH_HideNote the instance. Also added a chest just infront of the shelves on the lower level. MH_HideRewardChest is the instance and MH_HideChestMaster the master. The chest starts disabled. The Saviors Hide, DA05SaviorsHide, has a script attached to it. Location Changes: As listed above Script Changes: New script MH_HideStart attached to MH_HideNote to start the quest when it is read. It also enables the MH_HideRewardChest. A script, MH_HideChestOpenScript, has been attached to the Savior's Hide object to end the MH_HideQuest when the object is picked up. Quest Changes: New Quest, MH_HideQuest, added with three stages. New Quest Route: Read note near Rueful axe in Rimewind Burrow. This starts a new Savior's Hide quest. Go deeper in burrow and open chest. Take out Hide completing quest. You can do the Ill Met by Moonlight daedric quest as normal and keep Sinding alive to receive Ring. No changes are made to this quest. Skull of Corruption Quest: DA16 Dialog Changes: “I would rather go to the route of the problem and kill Vaermina's Champion” replaces previous dialog for not trusting Erandur in DA16ErandurIntroBranch. Character Changes: New NPC, MH_VaerminaChampion created. This is master, MH_VaerminaChampionTemple is the reference instance. Object Changes: Skull of Corruption (DA16SkullofCorruption) added to MH_VaerminaChampion inventory Location Changes: Vaermina Champion NPC placed in entrance at NightCallerTemple. Script Changes: Script TIF_00066649 attached to above dialog, myChampion.enable() added to end script fragment and ObjectReference Property myChampion Auto to main (TIF_00066649 script properties) with values, cell NightCallerTemple01 and Reference MH_VaerminaChampionTemple. Fight champion and take staff off their body. Since original quest is not changed at all, it is theoretically possible to obtain the skull a second time by following through the quest as normal. When you wake up in Temple, go to table and find a bottle of mead labelled Hair of the Dog. Take it which activates quest to find Champion. Go to Morvunskar and kill the Dragon priest there. Take staff. will complete quest and return you to original tavern. The original quest is marked as completed normally so that it will not trigger again. Wabberjack Quest: MH_WabbaQuest, DA15 Dialog Changes: None Character Changes: New NPC, MH_MadGiantMaster placed in MH_MadnessLocation which is a duplicate of Sleeping Tree cave. The Crown of Barenziah Quest: TGCrown Dialog Changes: Four new branches of conversation added to TGCrown quest. These are TGCrownMaervenIntroBranch, TGCrownMaervenHasGemBranch, TGCrownMaervenTurninBranch and TGCrownMaervenFinalBranch. Other Changes Book on Daedric Champions added to Belethor vendor list. Madness location (see Wabbajack quest) now contains a chest of duplication that can be used to reproduce any object you are carrying, and a chest of control that will hold items that let you make minor tweaks to the game. Just ignore this chest if you do not want to use them. Mod Issues: Cannot access College of Winterhold mage quarters if has already got staff of magnus through our quest. Need to add alternative route to get key. Dialog for jeweller flashes by - need to record blank sound to fill void. Changes Log 1.5 Added Barenziah quest alternative. Included some omitted scripts 1.6 Some scripts improved to be safer since they can only be triggered once 1.7 Made reading Key to Madness repeatable. Now allows teleportion to Madness cell which includes a duplication chest and a chest with a coin that stops random dragon attacks. Really wanted a quest for this but the NPC I created refused to behave so this is a stop gap measure. 1.9 Added a necklace to Control chest that summons Maerven back to the entrance of the Blue Palace since some people found she had too much of a wonderlust. Equip necklace to use. 2.0 Adds barrel in DB Sanctuary that contains various items that are not normally obtainable after killing the Brotherhood. Fixes a small issue with the Barenziah dialog that stopped it progressing when all gems were collected.
