drop or copy this "Images" folder here:

"C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\LocalLow\Juggernaut Games\StarCrawlers"

AppData is a hidden folder and you may need to change your folder options to alow you to see hidden folders

after you have the Images folder where it needs to be, in the edit window ingame, simply add the number "1" through "28" to view all the different portraits in
the portrait window

after you decide on an image, for example if you choose portrait 11, in the event selection, put "e11"  and in the combat put "c11"

this works the same for all portraits
