No victory fanfare mod
======================

This mod edits the file "scene.out" from "battle.fs" in order to disable the childish victory fanfare for every encounter in the game.

This only changes the required flags in the file, meaning that you can apply this on top of any other existing gameplay mod.


Usage
=====

- Apply any other gameplay mod first.
- Download "Deling" https://github.com/myst6re/deling/releases
- Within Deling, open the file "battle.fs":
  - Final Fantasy VIII Steam 2013: "FINAL FANTASY VIII\Data\lang-en\battle.fs"
  - Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (using Demaster by Maki): "FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered\DEMASTER_EXP\data\lang-en\battle.fs"
- Go to the "Import/Export" tab.
- Navigate to "c:\ff8\data\eng\battle\scene.out" and extract it.
- Place it in the same folder of the mod and run the "*.exe" file. Now the file has been modded (you will notice the different modification date).
- Within Deling, replace "scene.out" with the new file. There is no need to "save".
- You can now play the game.
