NPC CATALOG ______________________________________________________________________ Thank you for downloading! I have put together this read me of commonly asked questions, their possible solutions, as well as some other helpful tips! ______________________________________________________________________ COMMON QUESTIONS ______________________________________________________________________ Q: Is this compatible with Red Dead Offline? A: Yes. Download the provided NPC Catalog Red Dead Offline merge files and they are compatible! Q: Is this compatible with WhyEm's Assortments? A: No. You've all bothered me so much about it that I no longer intend to ever release a compatible merge with WhyEm's Assortments. Q: How do I install the NPC Catalog Red Dead Offline merge? A: Follow the provided instructions. Installation is straightforward drag and drop. Q: How do I see what was added in the latest update? A: Typically photos will be posted of the newer items. You can also check the provided string file to see the names of all added items. Q: How do I merge this with "X" mod? A: You don't. You're likely to break something severly if you don't know what you're doing. If you have attempted to merge these files with another mod and run into issues or something doesn't fit, don't report the problem. I am not responsible for someone elses merges. Q: Can I use two of these files at one time? A: NO. Choose one version. Pick either, NPC Catalog, NPC Catalog RDOffline Merge, or NPC Closet (Outdated) to utilize. Do not use more than one at a time. Q: NPC Catalog adds 120+ new items, NPC Catalog RDOff merge adds 150+. Are you going to update the base Catalog to keep up with the RDOff merge? A: Yes. I will update the base version of NPC Catalog eventually for those who don't wish to use the RDOffline merge. It is a lot of work updating two versions at once, so I have opted to update the base version incrimentally. I expect many of you will utilize the merge over the base version anyway. Q: Can you add "X" clothing from "X" NPC? A: It's likely if I haven't added someone's coat or someone's attire, it's because it isn't compatible with Arthur. I have plenty more items to add, but some things like Dutch's Winter Coat and Micah's Durham Jacket are not possible. If you make a request for an item, I recommend cloning the item to yourself with Rampage trainer before you ask. If it fits and has no wonk, ask away I will eventually get to adding it! Q: This item was in NPC Closet, but isn't in NPC Catalog? A: I'm one person and I likely made a mistake and forgot it. Any items from Closet that are missing will eventually return to Catalog! Q: NPC Catalog is on v1.3, but the files available to download are all 1.0? A: The title version of Catalog will increase by .1 each time to indicate an update. The files available for download are v1.0 as they are the release version. Any uploaded files for NPC Catalog, NPC Catalog RDOffline Merge, or NPC Closet (Outdated) are the most recent file versions. Q: Do you intend to continue support on NPC Closet, replacing items? A: No. There will be no further support for NPC Closet. The files will be left up for anyone who prefers the replacement method, but it will not be supported any longer. Q: Why'd you change the name from NPC Closet to NPC Catalog? A: NPC Closet consisted only of NPC Clothing replacements. NPC Catalog consists of new saddles, hair, clothing, accesories and much more! It's a much greater variety than just clothing. Given it became a catalog of general NPC items, I redubbed it NPC Catalog. ______________________________________________________________________ COMMON ISSUES & SOLUTIONS ______________________________________________________________________ I: I can't find my pants or open vest shirts in the wardrobe at the menu. S: Some clothing appear inside other clothings in the wardrobe instead of there own seperate variant. Check the Ranch Pants for the NPC Pants and the Cassimere Shirt for Open Vest shirt variants! I: The menu's are showing up at the trapper, but the items are all invisible. S: You have a shop_items.ymt file overwriting the NPC Catalog or NPC Catalog RDOff file. Replace the existing shop items with the downloaded one from Catalog or Catalog merge files. I: I have no menu at the trapper, barber, or stable. S: You have a Catalog_sp.ymt overwriting the NPC Catalog or NPC Catalog RDOff file. Delete files and repeat installation and check no mods are overwriting in your load order. I: Some items like Jack's shirt and vest are invisible. S: You haven't installed or don't have NPC Textures enabled in your mod manager. Enable this.
