Thanks for trying out this Mod! :D The FC4 IMMERSION + ATTACHMENTS MOD (v1.3) removes some annoying elements from the game and adds back many attachments to guns in Far Cry 4. Specifically: * Removes startup logo movies * Removes flashing objects (chests, pkants, dead bodies, etc) * Removes seeing enemies through walls * Removes enemies on the minimap * Removes Yellow / White objective arrows and pulsing circle around objectives. * Removes laser beams from sniper rifles. * Adds attachments back to weapons that normally could not accept them (Skorpion, M1911, etc. etc.) * Removes annoying constant on screen prompts such as vehicle controls, HOLD E to EXIT vehicle, HOLD R CANCEL ARROW / HOLD R NORMAL ARROW, HOLD F DROP BODY, HOLD Q to HEAL when you are hurt, etc. * Days and nights alst twice as long (they are really too short in the default game) It DOES NOT change any other gameplay elements. This is an open beta of the mod. There may still be quirks, kinks and other little weird bits & pieces, but for the most part it should be completely stable. Far Cry 4 on the other hand is NOT stable ad many people experience bizarre glitches and crashes without using ANY mods. Please visit the official site for for all my mods for both Far Cry 3 & Far Cry 4: http://jravens.wix.com/farcrymods You can also contact me through my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/FarCry3Mod IMPORTANT - back up your save games and your PATCH_HD.DAT and PATCH_HD.FAT files (found in your Far Cry 4 directory) If you are currently in a mission I would suggest you finish it FIRST, return to a safe house and save BEFORE applying this mod. If you load a save and something looks odd (missing furniture, missing people/animals, AI acting strangely, etc) try fast travelling somewhere else and back again. That should reset the assets in the immediate area. If you cannot fix the problem uninstall the mod, reload and play a side or main mission, save after finishing and try the mod again. Worse case scenario you can try restarting a new playthrough using the mod from the very beginning. Far Cry has always had on again/off again problems with saves not always playing nicely with mods. It's a complex game with millions of lines of code. Expect that there could be occasional hiccups. REQUIRMENTS - You need the latest 1.5.0 version of Far Cry 4. The mod contains all the latest relevant official patch files so you will not be losing anything from the official Ubi patches. You should also save your current game and make sure you are not currently on a quest/mission just to insure compatibility. -------- FEATURES -------- See the latest included changelog.txt for a list of features. ------------ INSTALLATION ------------ This mod is installed like most Far Cry mods so if you have any experience with that this should be old hat to you. However if you are new to mods just remember this one golden rule: BACK UP your SAVE GAMES and your PATCH_HD.DAT & PATCH_HD.FAT files. More instructions below. TL:DR - Backup your saves. Backup patch_hd.dat & patch_hd.fat files. Replace patch_hd.dat and patch_hd.fat with this mods versions. STEP 1 Make back up copies (copy and paste) of your save games and the following two files: \Far Cry 4\data_win32\patch_hd.dat \Far Cry 4\data_win32\patch_hd.fat Your save games should be located around: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[long randomnumber]\420\ (420 might be \856\ or another number depending on the version of FC4 you have - i.e. deluxe, standard, gold, etc.) patch_hd.dat & patch_hd.fat are located wherever your main Far Cry 4 directory is located: [install path]\Far Cry 4\data_win32\ STEP 2 Once you have backed those files up you simply copy the patch_hd.dat & patch_hd.fat files from this mod into your data_win32 folder (overwrite the old ones if asked - be sure they are backed up!) --------- THANK YOU --------- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TRYING OUT THE MOD!
